Objective: Register a new user group.
Action: Select Register a new group in the tablet at the top right of the window.
Result 1a: A form appears with the same title.
Action: In the Email field, enter your email address.
Action: Enter appropriate details in the other fields. They can be edited later.
You must make entries in the Organisation, Department, Address and Full name fields as well as entering your email address into the Email field. You can use the tab key to skip from field to field down the page.
Action: Press the Register new group >> button at the bottom of the form.
Result 1b: You are shown an admin password to use with your email address. When you use them together to log in, they identify you as the administrator of the account you have just created.
Result 1c: Your Name and Password were also entered into the tablet and also your admin password was sent to your email address when you pressed the Register new group >> button.
Action: To help you complete the tutorial, write down your admin password.
Note: If you were to register again using the same email address, you would create a new account with a new password. You would be able to log in to that account separately. For this tutorial, you need only the account you have just registered. Later in the tutorial you will see how to use a second password with your email address to access your new group in a different role.
Objective: Log in to your new user group as the system administrator.
Action: Press the Login >> button in the tablet.
Result 1d: The Your users and Your rotas menus now appear at the left. On the Your rotas menu the item Create the basic rota has already been activated so you see a page with that heading.
Your Group, Name and Role are shown in the tablet to confirm your login identity.
